Almost every cook I know, used but nice Japanese knives, Global is a good choice to be very well balanced, maintaining their lead for good, light and comfortable. The world will take about $ 100 - $ 200 for a knife. Shun is another popular choice, with high quality steel and will cost about $ 200 - $ 300. Many top notch running Japanese knives usually in the thousands and tens of thousands of people and usually require a trip to Osaka.

Many executives do not like German or European knives, because they use very heavy and uncomfortable after hours.

When you sit down, I recommend a 6-8 "Santoku knife, 10-12", the French knife, a kitchen knife, 10-12 "serrated knife with a point and a steak knife or without bones. I also have a roll cheap Chinese knife too heavy for my knife cut.

Global knives are very nice. I have a number of them and keep their edge very well. I've had for 6 years and absolutely love them. Here's a site with the choice of "top" of the knives. Hope this helps

To www.potterybarn.com. I buy all my knives there because of the quality brands and styles sheets. Do not care about the brand in the business, leading to the top of the line cutlery.
